TITLE: A Splendid Conspiracy
AUTHOR: Albery Cossery
READ: late December early January
THOUGHTS: Funny, enjoyable; relaxed prose style made it very readable. Seems like a 'lost' literary classic almost. The ennui and aimlessness here are dealt with in very amusing ways. Found the repeated mention of 14 year old girls as objects of desire w/o the slightest bit of irony or whatever to be kind of weird, found myself thinking "I guess things were different back then," and then not really knowing or something whatever.
